Herbert Brecheis, born in 1969, is a CIO/CDO with a proven track record in digitalization of international companies. His career includes stints in information technology, supply chain management, and product management. In particular, he brings in-depth experience in developing, implementing, and operating digital sourcing/procurement systems in an international environment. Additionally, he has successfully led global category and sourcing teams.

Herbert was the Group CIO of RUAG (Aerospace & Defense). Before that, he was the Division CIO of ABB Low Voltage Products (Power & Automation). In both capacities, he built end-to-end, future-proof digital solutions, enabling disruptive business transformation.

Herbert holds a Master of Science in Business Administration from the University of Nuremberg.

He lives in Switzerland, is married, and has two children.
