Marc Schnyder to be Group CEO of Chain IQ

The Board of Directors of Chain IQ has appointed Marc Schnyder as Group CEO. The 61-year- old Swiss citizen will take over operational management of the company specialising in the complete outsourcing of procurement on 1 February 2014. With this appointment, Chain IQ is further expanding its management structures and laying the basis for a successful start to its operational activities.

(Zurich) 28.11.2013 – Marc Schnyder brings to Chain IQ international management experience and extensive knowledge of the design and implementation of transnational, client-specific solutions along the entire supply chain. He has an excellent track record in the establishment and management of corporations and the strategic development of new business fields, as well as a comprehensive global network in the areas of trade, logistics, distribution and information technology.

Marc Schnyder started working for the Swiss ALSO Group back in 1986 and in 1988 assumed the function of Managing Director of ALSO Switzerland Ltd. From 1989, he was also a member of the Group Management of ALSO Holding AG, in which, among others, the Schindler Group holds a share. Marc Schnyder was responsible for 20 years of profitable growth in the distribution business of ALSO Switzerland Ltd, the establishment of ALSO Deutschland GmbH on a greenfield site, the redesign and realignment of the Swedish business unit and the realignment of ALSO Finland. In 2007, he also took on overall responsibility for ALSO Holding AG for a short period during the absence of the CEO and Chairman of the Board of Directors.

Marc Schnyder has a commercial and IT training background and has completed several further training courses in management, including at the IMD in Lausanne and INSEAD in Fontainebleu. He is the father of two children and lives in Küssnacht am Rigi.
