Prof. Dr.Dr.h.c. Uwe Krueger

Prof. Dr. Dr. h.c. Uwe Krueger is Vice Chairman, European Partnerships at Temasek International. He joined the firm in 2018 as Head of Industrials, Business Services, Energy & Resources, and concurrently served as Head of EMEA (Europe, Middle East & Africa).

Prior to joining Temasek, Prof. Dr. Dr. h.c. Uwe Krueger was Chief Executive Officer of WS Atkins plc from June 2011 until July 2017. From February 2010 to July 2011, he served as President of Cleantech Switzerland and also held the position of Senior Advisor to TPG Capital. Until September 2009, he was Chief Executive Officer of the Oerlikon Group.

Prof. Dr. Dr. h.c. Uwe Krueger began his professional career at the international strategy consulting firm A.T. Kearney. He then held various senior executive roles at Hochtief AG, a global provider of construction and engineering services with an annual turnover of approximately USD 18 billion. During his ten-year tenure at Hochtief, his responsibilities included serving as Senior Vice President and Chairman of Turner International (a Hochtief subsidiary), Chief Executive Officer for Central and Eastern Europe, and Senior Vice President of Corporate Development.

He earned his undergraduate degree in Physics and Business Administration, followed by a PhD in Complex System Theory and Brain Research from the University of Frankfurt. Prof. Dr. Dr. h.c. Uwe Krueger also conducted research at Columbia University in New York and at the École Normale Supérieure in Paris.

As an Honorary Professor of Physics, Prof. Dr. Dr. h.c. Uwe Krueger lectures at the University of Frankfurt. He also holds an Honorary Doctorate from Heriot-Watt University in Edinburgh. In recognition of his leadership, he was awarded the ACE European CEO of the Year in 2016
